Message it basically doesn't like sub freezing temps, that I see often here in Chicago. It's a long story, but after a lot of troubleshooting, I traced it to be temp related, replaced the safe injection with a spare I had from another kit, and the problem hasn't returned. Snow wasn't of much help during this process. As unlikely as the cause was, they nearly refused to believe that could be the cause, but wanted me to send the unit in to be tested. That went down during the winter, no where to work on the car (i live in the city) to tear the system apart. By the time things warmed up, my warranty had expired.

My first pump died two summers ago, just before a track day. I replaced it with a spare from another kit. The same kit I installed on a friend's identical subaru also dies about the same time. Both cars were daily drivers, both pumps were somewhat exposed to the elements (an issue Snow said hadn't been problematic in the past). Not really sure what the cause was, just died.

I replaced the spare with the new design from Labonte. It has quick connects built right into the head of the pump, which is nice. The old style required adapters that would crack the pump if threaded in too far and created an additional potential leak point, never liked them. The new pump is also higher pressure. Both versions had built-in check valves that prevented boost from forcing fluid back through the system when not spraying.
